This high alpine lake only 20 minutes drive from town offers impressive reviews, a variety of trails and great family friendly fishing (permit required). A leisurely drive or stroll around Trout Lake offers breathtaking high alpine scenery. A popular cross country skiing area in the winter, quality mushroom foraging in the fall, or a great place to begin a summer time hike on once of the many trails including local's favorite Hope Lake.
